Notes about the Model:  Another fast boat from Campbell Boatworks. Bob VandenAkker raced this boat for many years, before retiring it after the 2011 season. He sold it to Chuck in 2017.

 

Notes about the Real Boat:  This was the first unlimited owned by Dave Heerensperger, although he earlier leased the former Miss Spokane for a couple of seasons. This hull was built in 1962 by Les Staudacher and was campaigned as the $-Bill from 1962 until mid-season 1967 when Heerensperger bought it and renamed it Miss Eagle Electric. Norm Evans drove the remainder of the 1967 season. The boat was a top competitor in 1968, until a crash in the final heat of the Gold Cup in Detroit destroyed the boat and killed its driver, retired Air Force Colonel Warner Gardner. Heerensperger returned to racing in 1969 with the outrigger Pride of Pay ‘n Pak.
