Notes about the Model: Ron bought the model from fellow club member John Williams along with the 1999 Miss Madison as a team concept in 2011. After watching the 2005 movie 'Madison', really got into the history of the boat as well as the boats named or owned by the Madison, Indiana town. The boat has gone under a refreshed paint job and setup to make this a real contender in the coming years. The hull has been the workhorse for Team Madison in successful races.
Notes about the Real Boat: The real boat: This storied boat was the subject of a motion picture called "Madison", released in 2001. The underdog boat beat the odds-makers by winning the 1971 Gold Cup on home waters in Madison, Indiana. Jim McCormick drove the boat to victory on that historic day. It is currently being restored in Gig Harbor, WA and is one of the future projects at the Hydroplane Museum in Kent, WA.
Notes about 2015: No Information Submitted.
