Notes about the Model:  The Courtway’s purchased Roger Newton's Miss Budweiser at the end of the 2004 season and converted it to the LLumar Window Film for 2005. Steadily plagued by mechanical difficulties during the 2005 season, the Courtway’s were unable to get the boat to finish a single heat and sold the boat to Ron Daum in 2005 for his entry into the modern class. The craft then underwent extensive internal, running gear and sponson modification in the Such Crust III/Miss Pepsi shop in preparation for the 2007 season. A rejuvenated 7 pound LLumar debuted at the 2007 Diamond Cup Finishing fourth overall in her first race and later winning the Apple Cup demonstration race at Lake Chelan. At the end of the 2007 season, Ron determined that the Roger Newton built plywood and fiberglass hull was no longer structurally sound and with the assistance of Howard Price and Craig Bradshaw, turned the old hull into a plug. Mold making for a new hull carbon fiber composite hull began in 2008. The new and lighter hull with the original Roger Newton cowling and Tail Feathers debuted in 2009 and went on to become the 2010 NAMBA National Champion.

Notes about the Real Boat: Built as the futuristic concept two-wing T-4 Miss Budweiser. The boat was tested, with Chip Hanauer at the wheel, in Seattle. It competed in just one race (at Madison, Ind.), with Mark Evans as the driver in 2002. The boat made an impressive debut, being the fastest at a qualifying speed of 160.795 mph. Mark won every heat he finished in the boat however; the boat was then withdrawn for further development.

Notes about 2015: The boat was showing her age and the effects of mileage at the end of 2014 season and is now undergoing a rebuild and repainting in the Bradshaw shop for 2015.
