Save the date for this special joint event co-produced by ERCU and Puget Sound Model Boat Club, an exhibition for the Lewis County Parks Department at Wallace Pond in Toledo, Wash.
The October 19 Pumpkin Scramble is an opportunity to show the Lewis County Parks Department what we do, and how we care for our race sites. Both clubs are planning to begin using this site annually for club races. It's a great site and all ERCU members are encouraged to add this 13th race to your calendar and come out to Wallace Pond in Toledo for a fun day of fellowship, camaraderie and racing. This is NOT an event that counts for season points. It is an exhibition event. The cost of this event is $5 (not per boat). The entry fee goes to PSMBC, which will bring its club trailer with PA equipment, chase boat and buoys. All you have to do is bring your $5, your boats, and show up. Please make plans to attend this event, experience this beautiful new race site and help us make a wonderful showing for the powers that be who will be on hand to experience our program. Attendees will be allowed to unload at the pits and then move their cars to the parking lot (must use a spotter while moving car from lot to pits and back to lot again). The grade to launch your boats couldn't be more gradual, the distance from pits to parking also couldn't be closer. The restrooms are even better than Lacey's. All scale races will be governed by ERCU rules. All classes will run provided two boats or more are present. |
