Race Format

  • Three preliminary heats of five laps each for modern and vintage classes

  • First and second connies for modern and vintage (depending on number of boats)

  • First connie winner advances to the final as a trailer

  • Second place boat in the first connie is an alternate for the final

  • Second connie winners (if boat count allows) move up to start as a trailer in the first connies

  • Winner-take-all championship finals for modern and vintage

  • Vintage class boats may run any prop

The eighth race of the 2019  Championship Series is set for Sunday (August 11, 2019) at Twin Lakes in Marysville, Washington. Here is all you need to know to be prepared for the eighth event of the year:

Schedule

It is our intent to have the course set by 7:30am or 8:00 a.m. Testing can commence before boats are registered for the event. The water will be open for testing until 9:05, with the drivers meeting set to begin at 9:15am and modern heat 1A to follow the drivers meeting. ERCU Chairman will provide coffee in the morning. For lunch, David will be bringing Costco Pizzas. Driver with the last name of A-J - please bring a side salad or chips, K-S please bring drinks, plates and napkins and T-Z - please bring dessert!

What's Happening?

ERCU has a variety of classes which are invited to participate in this weekend's race. These include our classic 10th scale models, but also our 7th scale models. Everyone is welcome to see the race and participate. We also have a novice class  - all you need is a NAMBA membership, ERCU Membership and must be able to pass a simple driving test. 

 

Race Format
