One of the topics that came up during the November 12 ERCU Winter Meeting was the possibility of adding two more races to the schedule, beginning in 2023.

It was agreed that we needed to learn more from our members about their preference before a final decision was to be made. If the extra two races were added, they would likely be added to the end of the season. Sites would have to be considered based on availability, though a couple of potential new sites also came up during the course of the discussion.

The question needs to be asked, would you favor adding two more races to the schedule, starting in 2023?

The vote closed on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2022.

That headline is an important question as we head into the winter with lots of work going on in boat shops around the PNW.

Current members have their current registrations "protected" until January 2, 2023 as a motivation to get renewals taken care of. After January 2 boat registrations that have not been renewed will be made available on a first-come-first-served basis for anyone to register. So it's probably a good time to be taking care of your membership renewal and boat registrations for 2023, if you've not already done so.

This means that it's time to begin registering your boats and renewing your membership in the club. You can do both with a fillable form that's been added to the website (and make payment for your fees online via PayPal), or by downloading a fillable PDF and mailing it, with a check or money order to get yourself set for the new year.

The first of our three ERCU Winter Meetings is set for Saturday, Nov. 12 at 10 a.m., via Zoom.

This will be the first meeting of the 2022-23 club Board of Directors, with a full agenda of important items. If you're interested in participating, all members, past members and future members - as well as other interested parties - are welcome to attend.
