Test & Inspect event set for March 20

Hard to believe that the beginning of the 2022 ERCU Racing Season is just 36 wakeups away.

To that end, the club has scheduled a Test & Inspect event on Sunday, March 20 at Lake Waughop. The course will open at 8 a.m., and will stay open until 2 p.m.

We will be collecting voluntary $10 donations from those who participate, to help offset the cost of renting the park as this is an unbudgeted expense for the club.

This will also serve as an opportunity to conduct any board business that’s necessary, and as a Winter Meeting.

Bring out your boats to do some testing, and get them inspected for the 2022 season, before the first race of the year. Even if you don’t want to test, this is a great opportunity to get your boats inspected.

And remember, inspections are only required for new boats and for boats that underwent substantial repair or change over the winter. Please come prepared with your filled-in inspection forms, which you can download by clicking here.

Our 2022 Inspectors are Bill Mowatt and Jim McKeon. If neither is available, any board member can inspect your boats, but for consistency sake, please start with Bill & Jim.

We’ll also be simulating some racing in order to provide training to those interested in helping run the computer at ERCU events this year. If you’re interested in participating in this training, please let Nelson Holmberg or Ron Daum know.
