ERCU Rules Election closed; 77.1% Turnout Approves proposals

The proposed rule changes have been approved and we now officially have rules for the 2025 ERCU Championship Series.

With a 77.1 percent voter turnout, the election easily exceeds the 67.7 percent minimum required by the club's bylaws for a valid election.

• The action to approve the new rule book format (General Rules, Racing Rules and Technical Manual), including the clean up work that was proposed has been approved by a 26-1 vote (96.3 percent).
• The action to approve the new definitions for vintage, classic and modern boat has been approved by a 24-3 vote (88.9 percent).

The new rule books will be cleaned up, reflecting changes with a different color type, then posted on the website by the end of this week. Members will also receive PDF copies of the books via email as well. We encourage all members to read the books and be familiar with not only the changes/updates, but also to know the rules before the season starts.

The online rule book will also be updated with the new format.
